Der Eurovision Song Contest ist für spektakuläre Bühnenauftritte, bunte Kostüme und ausgelassene Stimmung bekannt. Vor allem für die LSBTIQ+ Community hat der ESC eine besondere Bedeutung und über die Jahre haben viele queere Künstler*innen sich und ihre Musik im Rahmen des internationalen Contests präsentiert. So hat sich der ESC zu einem wichtigen kulturellen Ereignis für die queere Szene entwickelt und bietet eine Gelegenheit, sich zu treffen, zu feiern und die Leidenschaft für Musik auszudrücken. Das Queer Festival überträgt dieses Jahr zum ersten Mal den Wettbewerb live im großen Saal des Karlstorbahnhofs.

Gehostet wird der Abend von Shayma Al Queer (drag public figure).

The Eurovision Song Contest is renowned for its spectacular stage shows, outrageous costumes and party atmosphere and has a special place in the hearts of the LSBTIQ+ community (among others!) Throughout the years, many queer artists have used the contest to showcase themselves and their music. The queerness of many of the competitors and the ESC fans have made the event into a symbolic statement for diversity and acceptance and an essential chance to meet every year to celebrate to and express a passion for music. The Queer Festival is broadcasting the show for the first time this year, live in the Karlstorbahnhof.
