Einmal im Jahr kommen zwei Ärzte aus Holland und Belgien nach Havanna und
führen dort unter dem Motto „Nein zur Homophobie, ja zum Sozialismus!“ kostenlos geschlechtsangleichende Operationen durch.
Feinfühlig und ohne Klischees erzählt der wunderbar fotografierte Film von Menschen, die an Wendepunkten ihres Lebens stehen, weil sie für ein Leben im richtigen Körper kämpfen.

Once a year two doctors, one Belgian and one Dutch, travel to Havana and perform gender reassignment surgery free of charge under the motto „No to homophobia; yes to socialism“. Using a sensitive, non-clichéd approach, this beautifully filmed documentary shows people at a crossroads in their lives as they fight for the right to live in their real bodies.
